My wife and I visited Stone House Vineyard on Oct. 9th. We really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. My wife really enjoyed the wine tasting. Ms. Peggy was so sweet and knowledgeable about the different wines and venue. We will visit again soon.

Came for a 40th birthday trip with a bunch of girlfriends and we were impressed from the second we pulled onto the property.

We made a reservation prior to coming. Lynne was so incredible from the second we walked in the door to walking us through every question we had.

I would highly recommend this vineyard and will definitely be coming back in the future!!

We had an excellent experience at stone house! Atmosphere, wine, and service were all a 5/5. Beautiful grounds and the wine was very enjoyable with a diverse red wine tasting menu. The wines are from a combination of local, Australian, and California grapes which is for the best because straight Texas wine can sometimes leave a bit to be desired. Very enjoyable as was the charcuterie.

Delicious wines from Texas & beyond at this stunningly beautiful winery that feels like an escape to Sonoma. We love it so much we became members and enjoy ourselves each time we come. Worth the drive from anywhere in Austin!

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon Stone House Vineyards wine tasting! Lynn was a fabulous guide – knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. The wines were delightful and the generous charcuterie plate was a perfect complement. The grounds were peaceful & we also enjoyed meeting Tosca, the sweet and well behaved golden-doodle mascot of Stone House.

The grounds, tasting room, and patio are beautiful and all the wines were very nice made from fruit from around the world. The Aussie owner uses Australian, Californian, and Texas grapes to make some great Shiraz, Tempranillo, and meritage selections. The staff was very nice and informative. Enjoyed our time and definitely need to return soon.

One of the hidden treasures of the Hill Country. Stone House not only offers exceptional Colorado River views, it has some of the most friendly and knowledgeable staff of any winery in Central Texas. We loved the grounds, charcuterie boards and exceptional wine selections.

Stopped in for a tasting. All very good wines. Hill country vineyards can be very hit and miss. Stone house is definitely one of the best around. Lynn was a sweetheart and very enjoyable to chat with between pours. The resident dog looked like she lives the life, just roamed from table to table getting and giving love to all the visitors ☺️

Our visit to Stone House Vineyard was a true highlight of our anniversary vacation & and a delightful way to cap off our trip. The property is absolutely gorgeous – I mean you can truly just sit and relax for hours while you take in the stunning view. I had made reservations but we arrived a tad bit early and Liz was happy to accommodate us sooner. I’d like to take a moment to offer my sincerest appreciation for Liz as she made this experience so memorable for us. It was our first proper wine tasting and she truly took the time to explain every single wine to us – notes/scents to look for, best food pairings, explaining the difference in textures, where the grapes are from – I mean the whole nine yards. She even showed us the safer, beginner way to swirl the wine to really delight your senses before tasting. I had added a cheese board to our reservation which we thoroughly enjoyed! Liz was patient with all of our questions on the wine (and cheese), had a wonderful sense of humor, and just a lovely personality to deliver a phenomenal package of customer service. Every single wine we tried was delicious! We took home a bottle of Claros but we seriously wanted to take home one of each. If we weren’t relocating soon, we would 100% have signed up for their membership. If we get to visit the area again, we will definitely stop in. I highly recommend visiting!

This place is absolutely amazing. Customer service was 100% I went with my friends to celebrate my birthday. Loved the whole wine experience and the views are so beautiful. Mr. Bo was very nice giving us a tour of the place. We will for sure be coming back. Thank you.

We are members here and decided to have our very intimate wedding onsite. Gina Ross was a dream to work with and the property is beyond lovely. We had a wonderful evening and would highly recommend their location for small weddings.

Amazing Winery! We had a quick girls weekend and stopped in on a whim. So happy we did. The staff was AMAZING. We got there about 30 min before closing, I am expecting so obviously not wine tasting, but they made me a delicious cheese board and my friends LOVED the wine. They all bought a bottle or 3… lol. It was absolutely beautiful as well.

Really cool spot. Vineyard close to Austin and Lake LBJ. Great views of Lake Travis. Have three different tasting options from $10-$20. Really enjoyed the laid back vibe and enjoyed some excellent wine!

We got there 10 minutes before this place closed and the staff was so so friendly and inviting! They allowed us to order a glass and enjoy the patio while they cleaned up for the day. Absolutly stunning piece of property, right along the water! I am sad we didn’t have time during our trip to go back and enjoy it for longer. From what little I know of this place, I already highly recommend it!

Lovely winery and atmosphere here at Stone House Vineyard. My family and I came in the winter and the vines were bare but the scenery is still lovely. Our wine ambassador was knowledgeable and friendly and the wines were tasty Australian wine from the Barossa Valley. There’s some local wine here as well as a wine from the Napa Valley.

This 2016 Holiday Season pitted Norton wines from Missouri’s Stone Hill ‘Cross J’, Kansas City’s Baltimore Bend, Georgia’s Crane Creek ‘Hellbender’, Virginia Cooper’s Reserve, Kansas (yes, Kansas) Oz Winery ‘Oil Can’ and Texas’s Stone House ‘Claros’. And the family and friends group consensus landed top honors (again) to Stone House’s Norton wine. Thank you for your Norton wine endeavors.

What’s not to like? Stone House Vineyard is the Hill Country’s answer to California’s Sonoma vineyards with an Italian twist. Texas’ burgeoning wine industry often takes on an antiseptic, unromantic industrial approach to wine-making. Stone House breaks that stereotype with her tasting room, patio and enveloping vineyard.

Located out of Spicewood above the shores of Lake Travis, Stone House Vineyard takes you off the beaten path, down country roads-less-traveled and into the vineyard lined with Italian cypress evocative of the Emilia-Romagna. The tasting room is well-tended with knowledgeable vintners. Kimberly spent many years living in Torino, Italy and brings her knowledge of wines to bear when decanting Stone House vintages. I cut-to-the-chase with Cuvee Cuddles Champagne, named for the vineyard’s Australian owner’s mum. Sold!

The patio overlooking Lake Travis is shaded with umbrellas, and there’s a private party room for great celebrations. You are surrounded by mature Norton grapevines, so bring your picnic basket and stake your claim for the afternoon. This is a Texas Hill Country vineyard experience at its best. Salute!

Claros utilizes the Norton grape and is the only local wine made at Stonehouse. Definitely worth the trip! The tasting room and property is gorgeous and I would recommend coming out with a basket of food and sitting on the property. Many of the grapes used for their wines are either Australia or California. Great port and desert wines as well. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly but this place can get packed quick.

This is a very beautiful winery. I did the basic tasting and I really enjoyed all of the wines I was allowed to try. My favorites were the sparkling wine and the Trebbiano. The patio was very nice and we had fun enjoying a nice glass of the sparking wine there after our tasting. The woman who conducted our tasting gave us a lot of good information about the flavors of the different wines and about the winery itself but she wasn’t exactly what I would call friendly. Not really mean or rude or anything just sort of seemed bored or something. The cost of the tasting was I believe $10- $15 which was about standard for the area (though a lot more than I’m accustomed to at home) so I guess I can’t really complain about that. I do prefer to be able to select which wines I get to taste from a long list rather than have it be a set group because my friend and I like to each select different wines and share so that we get to try twice as many. And really it would be in the establishments best interest as well because the more I get to taste the more I may be interested in purchasing. Just sayin. Overall though a very nice place and I’d recommend it to anyone who happens to live or be visiting the area.

Went to Stone House Vineyards for their special October dinner last night. We started with the Cuddles Cuvee Sparkling Wine — a personal, fun favorite! Blue Cheese Caesar followed. The main event: Brined grilled pork chop, Ratatouille gratin, crispy potato slices served with delicious Wild Ferment Riesling. If you think Riesling is too sweet (as is often the case), this is crisp and delicious. Perfect with the entree. The ending: Molten chocolate cake, vanilla ice cream + Sugar/Rum glazed bananas served with Tempranillo.

The most enjoyable thing was meeting new folks out in our area who are like minded and enjoy good food and wine. “Birds of a Feather”….as they say!!!

We spent a lot of time tasting the vineyards and wineries around the Hill Country and this one is always our number one! We love the drive, the atmosphere, and the wine! Try their tawny port and bring some treats to eat cause you are going to drink more then one glass!!!
