RACING ROBOTS (AGES 7-12) Must purchase mBot robot, included in pricing of camp below

Days: Mon – Fri

Give your child a fun, hands-on STEM experience with our mBot Robotics camp, where students use real robots to explore coding, engineering and problem-solving in an engaging and approachable way.

Here’s what your child will learn:
* Program robot movement, turns and speed
* Use sensors (line follower, ultrasonic) to navigate tracks and obstacles
* Apply loops, conditionals and variables
* Add lights, sounds and multi-step sequences
* Debug and improve programs

Purchase of mBot robot kit is required for $79.00, you keep this at the end of camp!

Camp price is $400.00 LAC Member +$79.00 for mBot $420.00 LAC Non-Member +$79.00 for mBot

* If you already own a mBot robot, please call the LAC to register so you will not be charged for the robot.

If you are bringing your own mBot, you will be required to bring to camp each day, and mBot needs to be fully operational and free of any technical issues.

Please bring water and a small snack to camp each day.

About My Coding Place
My Coding Place started in 2018 to teach kids in Austin to solve problems with tools such as coding and chess. Our teachers are coders or chess players and our mission is to expose kids and teens to the art of computer programming and broader STEM topics to learn to think critically. We want students to love solving problems as much as we do and to be inspired and challenged in a creative environment. Our focus is on the problem-solving and translating logic to code by building cool projects to practice and reinforce concepts through different tools.
