Live Music: JT Horne
Singer-songwriter JT Horne is a traveling multi-instrumentalist based out of Cooperstown, New York, who brings a deeply rooted, nostalgic sound to live stages across the country.
Raised in the small town of Worcester, New York, Horne’s musical foundation began in church choirs and grade-school bands. He deeply committed to his craft after being gifted Neil Young’s Decade album. Later, he earned a B.A. in Music and English from SUNY Oswego in 2018.Performing both solo and with his band, The Leaps, Horne bypasses generic country music templates. Instead, he leans on an unorthodox, attention-grabbing vocal style and thoughtful songwriting.
His live sets fluidly weave original tunes like “Make it Last” with eclectic covers that span country, folk, rock, pop, blues, and Americana.
Driven by a lifelong mission to write and compose honest music, Horne delivers a captivating, multi-instrumental performance on guitar, banjo, and piano. He connects deeply with audiences everywhere from the Northeast to the Texas Hill Country.
