Catfish and Shrimp fried to perfection. Ever so lightly breaded letting the flavor shine through and not feel like your eating a chicken nugget. Atmosphere is nice and inviting. Parked the boat at the dock and walked in. Dont pass up on this when your spending the day on the lake!

We checked this place out recently for lunch and had a good experience. We caught the post-church Sunday afternoon rush, but it wasn’t too bad of a wait to order the food. The place is massive with tables inside and outside by the water. We ordered the grilled shrimp basket, buffalo chicken caesar tacos, and a small order of chips and queso. They have complimentary chips and salsa, which we also enjoyed. We were able to find a table outside by the water to enjoy our food. The tacos were tasty and the grilled shrimp (8) were flavorful. Definitely worth checking out as they have a large menu and a great atmosphere.

Great place! I went on Memorial Day and it was an excellent place to chill, look at the lake, and drink a margarita. It was only $8 – what a great deal!

I had the shrimp plate and they were so good! The free chips and salsa was a nice touch too. I’m so glad I got the chance to visit.

Stumpy’s is one of those places that really captures the full Granbury experience. It has a laid-back, lakeside feel with a casual, welcoming atmosphere that works well for families, couples, and groups just enjoying a day out on the square or near the lake.

The menu is hearty and approachable, with a mix of comfort food and local favorites. Portions are generous, and the overall vibe is relaxed rather than polished or formal. It’s the kind of place where you can show up after a day of walking the square or being on the water and just unwind.

What makes it stand out most is the setting and energy. It feels very local, very social, and very connected to the lake-town lifestyle Granbury is known for.

Advice: go during off-peak hours if you want quicker service, and try to sit outside if the weather is nice it really elevates the experience.

The consistency and quality of the food is amazing. The staff is super friendly and works hard to keep it clean. The fried shrimp are absolutely fantastic. Stumpy’s needs to produce a MasterClass for other restaurants to understand how to do it right. Great job everyone for years and years and years. Thank you to everyone that works or has worked at Stumpy’s. I can’t say enough amazing things about this place

Super fun place! Walk in, you’re surrounded by merchandise. Yes, bits and bobs of souvenirs, clothing, boating stuff, hats, earrings, etc. But don’t be too distracted. Head up to the cashiers and place your food order after reading the chalkboard menu placed above the counter. They’ll give you a light-up buzzer and when your food is ready you pick it up at a small window. Just ask where it is if this is your first visit, or follow the others as they pick up their orders. Anyway, seating is indoors or out, but on a fine day you’ll do yourself a favor by sitting at the tables next to the water. Kids will love seeing ducks, geese, carpet, and turtles bobbing about. Great fried catfish, poboys sandwiches, tacos. Such as easy going hangout! Have fun.

Had Sunday Brunch. Fantastic service. Friendly and attentive. The best Bloody Mary I have ever had. Eggs Benedict had a great twist and was cooked perfectly. Chicken and waffles were awesome can’t wait to go back.

Me and a group of 5 friends went their yesterday on their opening day.
Things went very well. We all really enjoyed the high quality food and service.
The view was spectacular. I highly recommend.
I plan on visiting next time via boat.

Beautiful location on Lake Travis. I really enjoyed the Fredericksburg Punch that was on the menu. Most of the selections are from the standard burgers/salads type of menu that prevails at the lake, but there are a couple of house specialities that made it over from the other Nik’s (not on the Lake but on 620). There is a jalapeño chicken parm dish that looks pretty good.

In addition to the Punch, I had a pimento cheese app served with some guacamole and chips. (not bad) and a off the menu meatball sub sandwich (pretty good) with fries. It was a beautiful night on the lake during my visit on opening night. I will definitely be back as they tweak and improve their menu. Good place!
